Musings from Chris

Wrap-Up from Weekend

What an incredible week we had at Mountain View!  Here’s the quick update on our “Gas Buy Down”.  We dropped gas by one dollar per gallon and caused the largest traffic jam ever seen on Lee Highway.  The line for gas extended over three blocks!

We had amazing coverage by the local TV news stations (several stories that I’ll try to post on the blog later).  One news station was still talking about this event on Tuesday!

We served over 300 people and had a great time getting to know most of them.  We also had some folks show up on Sunday of Labor Day Weekend.

Maybe the coolest thing to happen was the sense of enthusiasm from our people that served.  Here are the award for some of the greatest servants in the Kingdom!

Keith Richards (the Original Keith Richards!)  Keith has never met a stranger and spoke to everyone that came to this event.  Way to go dude!

Ross & Deborah Helton - Thanks to Ross for the graphics and video that was shot.  Deborah’s smiling face and servant heart made this a fun experience for everyone.

Dre Kuban - While Scott was away watching the disappointing Tennessee Vols Dre was on her game and brought a festive environment.

Chris Sikes - As a school principal Chris knows how to keep order.  Chris was very important in keeping the construction crew next to the gas station happy.

Joel Murphy - Joel’s handsome good looks made him a “chick magnet”.

Steve & Dreama Perry - Thanks for the awesome aerial photos (I’ll try to post some of those in the future).

Julina, Lydia, Brianna, and Josh - My family, I love you!  Thanks for doing such a great job!

May the Lord continue to bless this ministry to our community!
